Keenly observed

Submitted by Sherri Owen Rost, who found these sofas during her recent travels in Canada and Hawaii. Sherri travels often and sees many wondrous sights, but she also has an eye for the mundanities of life, such as a castoff piece of stuffed furniture. This reminds us of the words of author Bill Bryson, who wrote: “To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.”

Thank you, Sherri, for not taking forgotten furniture for granted and for having a keen eye and iphone to notice and record the discarded elements of everyday living everywhere.

We never take sofa photos for granted here at The Sofa Project. Send your photos to wordsense1@att.net.
